My May 2017 Goals Review

At the end of each month, I perform a monthly goal review where I measure the progress of my 2017 goals and recalibrate my performance to ensure I reach my targets for the year.

The objective of this review is to be 100% honest and truthful with myself and learn from my mistakes & wins as I go.

Below is my May 2017 Monthly Goals Review, which goes over each goal that I set and the progress that I’ve made so far. Ultimately, it is my hope that my goal list and process inspire you to set and achieve your own goals & ambitions.

General Monthly Overview:

May was a transitionary month for me. I really felt some great momentum going into May which has carried through and has only magnified since.

In this month I experienced business growth, growth in the gym and the growth of new and old relationships.

Summer feels like it’s already here, and the warm sun and cool breeze remind me to live in the moment and be thankful for all the blessings I have in my life. This past month I’ve been especially blessed to have a loving family, the joy of a 1-year-old nephew and the celebration of life long friends.

Without further delay, lets dive into the review. Have an amazing month and I hope you gain something out of my review below.

With love—Sunny.

Business Goals:

1. I will easily 5x my monthly income by December 31st 2017:
I was going into May with the slowest sales month of the year in April—but that turned around last month. Lately, my focus has been almost exclusively eCommerce. This focus has led to more quality product launches and an expansion of our team.

2. I will easily launch a successful Subscription Service by December 31st 2017:
After canning my Toiletries Subscription Service idea earlier this year, I’ve put all my time & effort solely on my main eCommerce venture. As noted above, this has allowed me to be much more focused & productive. I still plan on a Bushido Academy Monthly Masterclass subscription later this year, but not before I have grown and fully automated my eCommerce business.

3. I will easily host my first Retreat by December 31st 2017:
Beyond the progress we made early in the year on this task, no additional progress was made on this goal for May.

4. I will easily be a Certified High-Performance Coach by December 31st 2017:
Scheduled for Fall 2017.

5. I will easily Launch a Course by December 31st 2017:
The Bushido Body course is roughly 70% filmed, but due to travel amongst multiple team members, filming has been postponed until the end of June and I aim to launch shortly after.

6. I will easily hire a team by December 31st 2017:
In the past month we added a Copywriter, Email Marketer & Video Talent to our team. Our next steps are to build a 24/hr Customer Service team and find an eComm Manager so we may expand further.

7. I will easily record 30 videos by December 31st 2017:
No progress has been made on this goal yet. But in my Q1 review, my accountability partner and I came up with a strategy to get this task done in 2017. I’ve refocused on how I’m going to be making these videos and I’m opting for quick 1-min style videos which will be sharable on Instagram as well as YouTube.

8. I will easily write 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
Last month I only wrote a handful of days. I’m a far ways from writing 5 days a week, but I have lots of time to achieve this goal still. I will focus more on this goal when I streamline my eCommerce work more.

9. I will easily reach 200,000 followers on Social Media by December 31st:
No progress on this goal yet. My goal is to rewatch my Social Media courses & implement their strategies full force once my eCommerce work is automated.

Health & Fitness Goals:

10. I will easily be in the best shape of my life by December 31st 2017
In the past month, I’ve taken up Functional Patterns—a movement philosophy which strengthens & rebalances your body based on breath work, myofascial release and sound biomechanics. Since doing this work, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my posture and the overall appearance of my body. It’s been great to see these changes. I’ve also officially stopped my bulk and have begun to transition to a cut.My peak bulk this year was 188.2lbs.

The biggest improvement in my body has been the repair and progress of my right shoulder. For years I’ve suffered from a weak right side—but this is the first time in a long time that I feel equally strong on both sides. I see symmetry and balance in my body, and it’s inspiring.

11. I will easily do the Splits by December 31st 2017:
Since moving downtown, I’ve neglected my splits stretching routine. It’s safe to say that I haven’t made much progress on my splits this month, but I don’t think I’ve lost any of my flexibility either.

12. I will easily hire a personal Muay Thai Coach by December 31st 2017:
This goal is planned for Q3.

Travel & Lifestyle

13. I will easily cross off 2 different destinations on my LIFE LIST by December 31st 2017
In April I booked trips to both New York and Montreal. Later this year I’m contemplating doing a Hawaii trip with family and also something international, maybe Columbia as discussed in earlier reviews, or maybe the Philippines. Only time will tell which destination will come to fruition, but either way, I’m envisioning some great travels this year!

14. I will easily have lived in a Creative Space / Loft by December 31st 2017:
Currently, I am subletting a Condo by Sunset Beach in DT Vancouver for 6-8 weeks. During this time I will be I sourcing accommodations which are more in line with my Loft/Creative Space goal. I’m excited to be living back in Vancouver and will be making the most of it!

15. I will easily record a Song by December 31st 2017:
In April I submitted an audition for a solo performance in my choir—just a few weeks ago I was selected to perform a solo during our performance at the end of this month. I’m excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to bring this whole singing thing to life!

Personal Development Goals:

16. I will follow my morning routine 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
This month I’ve been quite good about following my routine each morning. I was following my routine well for the first few weeks of the month but slipped up a little near the end of the month.

17. I will easily Meditate every day by December 31st 2017:
This past month I probably meditated only about 50% of my days. Room for improvement, but still, an improvement over last month.

18. I will easily Condense 12 books into Reports by December 31st:
I’ve only read 1 book this year – and a few audio books. I don’t have a nightly reading routine in place and must make this a routine before I see progress on this goal.

19. I will easily attend 1 Personal Development Event by December 31st 2017:
No progress has been made on this goal yet.

Selfless Service

20. I will easily donate 1000 articles of clothing to the Homeless
No progress has been made on this goal yet. Goal is to donate during the winter of Q4.

My April 2017 Goals Review

At the end of each month, I perform a monthly goal review where I measure the progress of my 2017 goals and recalibrate my performance to ensure I reach my targets for the year.

The objective of this review is to be 100% honest and truthful with myself and learn from my mistakes & wins as I go.

Below is my April 2017 Monthly Goals Review, which goes over each goal that I set and the progress that I’ve made so far. Ultimately, it is my hope that my goal list and process inspire you to set and achieve your own goals & ambitions.

General Monthly Overview:

April has been a very satisfying month for me. I’ve never felt as productive or focused as I did this past month. I definitely worked the hardest I have in recent memory.

However, the month wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, to-date April was my lowest performing sales month of the year, but as you’ll read in this review, you’ll see why I’m not too concerned.

As I usher in May I’m excited for the warmer months ahead. I’m a summer baby and I feed off the energy, longer days and vitamin D all provided by the sun. Also, I’m now posted in Downtown Vancouver—not quite in a loft yet but inching towards that goal day-by-day 🙂

Have an amazing month and I hope you get some benefit out of my review below.

Lots of love—Sunny.

Business Goals:

1. I will easily 5x my monthly income by December 31st 2017:
As mentioned in the overview above, April was my slowest sales month of the year so far. But despite this, I’ve had a huge mental breakthrough for how I view and operate my business. The truth I’ve come to learn is that in order to make money, you have to spend money. And generally, I’ve been quite stingy with my spending. This likely comes from growing up in an immigrant household where I witnessed my parents work hard, and spend sparingly, saving so that we can enjoy many of the privileges we have today. But when it comes to business, you want your money to work for you, and I’ve now started to invest into my business more by hiring rockstar talent instead of doing as much of the work as possible by myself, or worse—hiring sub-par talent. Delegating tasks to capable people free’s up time and expands my capabilities. I’ll elaborate on this in goal #6.

2. I will easily launch a successful Subscription Service by December 31st 2017:
After canning my Toiletries Subscription Service idea earlier this year, I’ve put all my time & effort solely on my main eCommerce venture. This has allowed me to be much more focused & productive. I will still execute on a Bushido Academy Monthly Masterclass subscription service later this year, but not before I have grown and fully automated my eCommerce business.

3. I will easily host my first Retreat by December 31st 2017:
Beyond the progress we’ve made in past months on this task, no additional progress was made on this goal for April.

4. I will easily be a Certified High-Performance Coach by December 31st 2017:
Due to a conflict in schedule, I have changed the date for this certification training to the Fall of 2017 instead of Summer 2017.

5. I will easily Launch a Course by December 31st 2017:
The Bushido Body course is roughly 70% complete, but due to travel amongst multiple team members, filming has been postponed until the end of May and I aim to launch shortly after.

6. I will easily hire a team by December 31st 2017:
This goal was where the bulk of my efforts lay in April. After my original team (assembled in February) started to fall apart, I had to figure out what I was doing wrong and how to improve it. A big part of the problem was a limited budget. We’ve all heard the saying, “you get what you pay for” and as I’ve come to find out, this is also true in business. As a result I’ve increased the budget for my team and since then the quality of our work has improved dramatically. Much work still remains as I create efficient processes and continue to add members to our team, including a full-time eCommerce Manager. Additionally, I have learned it helps to hire people who specialize in what you’re looking for. For example, I spent a lot of time sourcing an eCommerce Manager on my own, but recently I’ve teamed up with a Virtual Staffing agency who will help find me my ideal Manager and will also help me scale my business when needed. This resource should help me find a better candidate for me while also removing much of the headache associated with sourcing multiple team members and scaling operations.

This past month I recommitted to writing again after taking roughly 6 months off. I felt a little rusty getting started again and I can truthfully say I still haven’t found my groove yet. Some days, dispute my efforts I haven’t been able to put out worthwhile content and I’m not about to release mediocre work—this is my craft and I honor it as such. I still have lots of time to reach my goal of writing 5 days a week and I feel like I’m on the right track again as I ease back into writing, finding joy in writing a solid piece which inspires, motivates and uplifts.

I mentioned last month that I was very happy with my progress on this goal to date. I’m on target to hitting my bulking goals but after my report last month it seems I got a little over-confident and started bulking a little recklessly, adding more fat to my frame than wanted or necessary. I’m making the necessary revisions to my diet and cardio regiment to remedy this and see these changes as necessary course corrections to hit my goals in the months to come.

  • March 1 – June – 14 BULK
  • June 15 – July 15 CUT

11. I will easily do the Splits by December 31st 2017:
The splits are coming along nicely. I’m feeling quite confident in this goal, though I’ve had some strange issues in my pelvis with pops and cracks I never noticed before (yikes!). I’ll have to get this checked out, but overall very happy with my progress here. Will post a progress picture on Instagram soon :).

Later this year I’m contemplating doing a Hawaii trip with family and also something international, maybe Columbia as discussed in earlier reviews, or maybe Philippinesines where my virtual staff HQ is.

In April I submitted an audition for a solo performance in my choir—fingers crossed! Additionally, choir rehearsals have been going great and I am getting more and more confident in my voice. I also won free a free Vocal training session with my amazing Choir director and vocal coach Rebecca Lam and I’m super excited about this. Rebecca is an angel and I’m so grateful to have her as a director and vocal coach! Check her out here!

Personal Development Goals:

16. I will follow my morning routine 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
Last month, after having difficulty with my morning routine, I revised my routine and even posted it on my bathroom mirror as a reminder to follow through with my commitment. This seemed to work for a short while but as the month progressed I noticed myself falling asleep later and later at night and I became flexible on the time I would wake up each morning, which derailed my routine alltogether. Now, having just moved I am recommitting once again, this time I am unwilling to to revise my morning alarm for the sake of comfort and being more strict with the time I sleep. Discipline 101.

17. I will easily Meditate every day by December 31st 2017:
Whenever I have a weak morning routine, my meditation (which is part of my morning routine ) seems to fall apart too (duh). Though these last few days I’ve been having great success with both, I hope to keep this momentum up with my chance of address. New space, new routines, new me 😉

18. I will easily Condense 12 books into Reports by December 31st:
Again, I didn’t read anything in April. I have a shelf of books which I’ve ordered but not yet committed to reading. I’m hoping my new daily routine will give me more space to enjoy books more regularly.

My March 2017 Goals Review

At the end of each month, I perform a monthly goal review where I measure the progress of my 2017 goals and recalibrate my performance to ensure I reach my targets for the year.

The objective of this review is to be 100% honest and truthful with myself and learn from my mistakes & wins as I go.

Below is my March 2017 Monthly Goals Review, which goes over each goal that I set and the progress that I’ve made so far. Ultimately, it is my hope that my goal list and process inspire you to set and achieve your own goals & ambitions.

General Monthly Overview:

As March wound to a close, I felt empowered, focused and excited again after a short spell of the opposite.

April brings with it the start of a new Quarter, Q2 and for that reason I did a review of Q1 this weekend. After reviewing Q1 of 2017, I can honestly say I’m so glad I began to document my goals this year. Reviewing my progress has shown me my strengths and exposed my weaknesses. It’s allowed me to celebrate my victories and analyze my shortcomings.

Too often in my life I’ve set goals, always starting strong but losing steam while in the trenches.  This process of documenting my goals and especially documenting them publically holds me accountable to my intentions for 2017 and allows me to course-correct as I go—something which is paramount to success in any endeavor.

I’m excited for Q2 and can’t wait to start the first Monday of the month tomorrow. Hope you’re feeling just as empowered as I am.

Lots of love—Sunny.

Business Goals:

1. I will easily 5x my monthly income by December 31st 2017:
I didn’t experience much growth in March in comparison to February, but overall I’m happy with the numbers in Q1 because we’ve matched or exceeded our Christmas season numbers every month this year. I’m very optimistic about this goal and I’m really excited to try some new marketing techniques to increase sales.

2. I will easily launch a successful Subscription Service by December 31st 2017:
I spent a good chunk of time in Q1 sourcing suppliers and fulfillment options for my Toiletries Subscription Service brand. But after some time crunching numbers, talking with suppliers and fulfillment operations, the idea just didn’t work—it was going to be very difficult to make it profitable given our current resources and reach. I’m so glad I put in the work to validate this idea before launching it blindly like I have so many other initiatives before (thank you life-experience!). I’ll continue brainstorming other subscription service ideas with the intent to launch at least 1 subscription service this year. Alternatively, I still want to execute on a Bushido Academy Monthly Masterclass subscription service, but not before I have automated the bulk of my eCommerce business—one thing at a time.

3. I will easily host my first Retreat by December 31st 2017:
This month my team and I came together to design a series of live talks in Vancouver which are designed to promote our retreat later this year. We’ve found places to host our talks and started some very preliminary branding exercises with considerations for potential names and target audiences.

4. I will easily be a Certified High-Performance Coach by December 31st 2017:
No progress made on this goal yet. Training starts in June 2017, or alternatively, training also starts in the Fall of 2017.

5. I will easily Launch a Course by December 31st 2017:
This month we finished filming roughly 70% of the Bushido Body course, our goal was to finish filming in March, but due to an unforeseen injury, we had to postpone our filming. I hope to wrap up filming this month given the schedules of all those involved match-up and launch shortly after.

6. I will easily hire a team by December 31st 2017:
In March, the first ever team I assembled in February started falling apart. My lack of experiencing managing a team is to blame for this. I have learned that a team is organic in nature and must be nurtured and tended to. For reasons of laziness, lack of excitement and poor of awareness, I neglected to nurture my team and things began to fall apart as a result. So in April, it is my goal to take what I learned from Version 1.0 of my team and put the effort into greatly improving my team to Version 2.0. For this, I have multiple strategies, one of which is to hire a manager who is my go-to when assigning tasks and reviewing progress. At the moment, I am interacting with multiple team members which isn’t time-efficient and can be energetically draining.  Instead, I will restructure my team with a manager role making it easier for me to spend time nurturing the team and keeping them occupied with work & challenges which will keep them excited, focused and engaged.

I lost touch with writing in Q1, focusing almost exclusively on eCommerce. I am reminded that writing is very therapeutic and for me it can be very inspiring to translate complicated ideas into simplified ideas for easy absorption. This is also a skill set I will be using for the rest of my life, so I want to train it. For these reasons, I am recommitting to this task—writing and posting 1 Bushido Code a day. I have scheduled this in my calendar so it actually happens.

I’m very happy with my fitness results in Q1. I look & feel great. I surpassed my goal of 185lbs and weighed in at 185.5 @ 10% BF (rough guide measured with a cheap electronic scale) which is bigger and leaner that I had expected. I am now coming down to the last portion of my bulking phase and am excited to see what I can achieve with the time allotted. My Bulk cycle ends ~June 14th, but I may shorten this to June 1st depending on my results.

  • March 1 – June – 14 BULK
  • June 15 – July 15 CUT

11. I will easily do the Splits by December 31st 2017:
This month I took my first pictures of me doing the splits (as low as I could go). Since then I’ve really put more focus and energy into doing the splits. Again, I feel it’s the act of making my goals public (this time in the form of pictures on my Instagram) which really motivate and drive me. I also have new workout warm-up routine which I believe will help me get to my goal faster.

12. I will easily hire a personal Muay Thai Coach by December 31st 2017:
This goal is planned for Q3.

Travel & Lifestyle

13. I will easily cross off 2 different destinations on my LIFE LIST by December 31st 2017
This Quarter I set the intention for a trip to New York and also a trip to Columbia too. With Columbia, I’ll be able to cross off my “Visit South American” off my Life List too. Plans for these trips begin this week. Stay tuned!

14. I will easily have lived in a Creative Space / Loft by December 31st 2017:
May 1st I will be subletting a Condo in Yaletown for 6-8 weeks. During this time I will be I sourcing accommodations which are more in line with my Loft/Creative Space goal. I’m excited to be living back in Vancouver and plan on using the Month of April to work extra hard so I can really enjoy my summer in Vancouver.

15. I will easily record a Song by December 31st 2017:
Today I performed with the YVR Choir at our first ever SOLD OUT show & charity event. The show was a massive success and I feel like I’m one step closer to achieving my goal of recording a track in 2017. I’m rejoining the choir in Q2 for additional practice and accountability and I hope to secure some 1-on-1 training soon too.

Personal Development Goals:

16. I will easily Meditate every day by December 31st 2017:
This month my meditation routine was the worst of month of any month so far. This is due to my weak morning routine ritual. As you’ll read below, I’ve recommitted to my morning ritual and with it, my meditation routine. I might also revise this goal to meditate for 100 days in a row, which would still be an accomplishment I would be proud of.

17. I will follow my morning routine 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
As mentioned above, my morning routine wasn’t very well kept in March with the exception of the last 1/3rd of the month where I began to refocus on the core pillars of my routine which brought more clarity and energy to my days. This quarter I’m 100% recommitting to my morning routine. I’ve revised it slightly and posted it on my bathroom mirror so I’m able to follow it even if I’m still half asleep =P

18. I will easily Condense 12 books into Reports by December 31st:
I didn’t read anything in March. I have a shelf of books which I’ve ordered but not yet committed to reading. I’m hoping my new daily routine will give me more space to enjoy books more regularly.

My February 2017 Goals Review

At the end of each month I perform a monthly goal review where I measure the progress of my 2017 goals and recalibrate my performance to ensure I reach my targets for the year. The Objective of this review is to be 100% honest and truthful with myself and learn from my mistakes & wins as I go.

Below is my February 2017 Monthly Goals Review, which goes over each goal that I set and the progress that I’ve made so far. Ultimately, it is my hope that my goal list and process inspire you to set and achieve your own goals & ambitions.

General Overview:

February was an intense and emotionally draining month for me. I didn’t feel focused and my rituals and routines seemed to fall apart. The weather was gloomy and this reflected in my mood this month.

During months like these, theirs always things to learn from your experience. My biggest learning in February was not to think with my head so much and to lead my heart instead. I was sweating the small details and often small details only represent the fringe of the bush stroke, it is more important to take notice of the bigger picture that is being painted instead of being blinded by the details. Sometimes excessive attention to details cause overthinking and over-thinking is the art of creating problems that don’t exist.

Lastly, another important reminder I was given this month was a man without a plan for his future will always tend to return to his past. This year I am so grateful for having a plan to step into my best year yet and build a life I don’t need a vacation from. Wishing you a blessed month ahead!

Lots of love—Sunny.

Business Goals:

1. I will easily 5x my monthly income by December 31st 2017:
Despite the week-long Chinese New Year Holiday which halts all manufacturing and shipping in China, we’ve had a great month in sales. Our facebook ads are performing well and we generated our single biggest orders to date in February.

2. I will easily launch a successful Subscription Service by December 31st 2017:
This month I did a lot of research to see what it would take to start a toiletries subscription box service. We sourced suppliers, fulfillment centers and even received a pitch from our videographer on how to market the brand. At the moment, the biggest part of the puzzle is figuring out our reach & profit margins to know if this idea is viable. Secondly, I had plan to make progress on my monthly Bushido Masterclass subscription service, but progress on this has been slow because of my focus on eCommerce.

3. I will easily host my first Retreat by December 31st 2017:
In February we held a small 5 member inner-circle trial retreat in Whistler. The experience was nothing short of amazing and gave us great confidence in holding a retreat here in Whistler, BC where we have world-class amenities such as Whistlers amazing scenery, the Scandinavian Spa and luxury lodges

4. I will easily be a Certified High-Performance Coach by December 31st 2017:
No progress made on this goal yet. Training starts in June 2017.

5. I will easily Launch a Course by December 31st 2017:
In February the Bushido Body team got together over a meal and recommitted to this project after a 6+ month hiatus. The plan is to review old footage to see if our current location is fit for the project. We have made a commitment to filming in March.

6. I will easily hire a team by December 31st 2017:
February was the first month I put our team into action. Though the team is maturing, the processes I’ve set are clunky and not performing as smoothly or efficiently as they should. The next goal is to create and refine processes so processes can be repeated and scaled.

7. I will easily record 30 videos by December 31st 2017:
No progress has been made on this goal yet.

8. I will easily write 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
I have lost touch with writing this month, focusing almost exclusively on eCommerce. After I automate more of the eCommerce work in March I will return to my writing in Q2.

9. I will easily reach 200,000 followers on Social Media by December 31st:
No progress on this goal yet. My goal is to rewatch my Social Media courses & implement their strategies full force once my meditation webinar is launched.

Health & Fitness Goals:

10. I will easily be in the best shape of my life by December 31st 2017
I’m very happy with my overall fitness and aesthetic is early in the year. However, I am still behind on my goal of reaching 185 lbs by March 31st and need to make some adjustments in my diet to compensate for this plateau.

11. I will easily do the Splits by December 31st 2017:
This goal has stagnated somewhat in February with only a handful of stretching sessions. I am working with my friend Slava again and we are creating a routine on how to perform the splits, I will use this process to refine my own routine and rekindle my practice.

12. I will easily hire a personal Muay Thai Coach by December 31st 2017:
This goal is planned for Q3.

Travel & Lifestyle

13. I will easily cross off 2 different destinations on my LIFE LIST by December 31st 2017
This goal is ideally for Q3-Q4. Currently, Hawaii is on the list for a possible family trip at the end of the year. Other potential locations include New York & Montreal for a trip with a dear friend and perhaps even New Orleans for one of my best friends stag!

14. I will easily have lived in a Creative Space / Loft by December 31st 2017:
This month I received blessings from my parents to reach this goal and I’m excited about this next chapter in my life. I’ve even found a potential spot! Goal planned for Q2.

15. I will easily record a Song by December 31st 2017:
My Choir classes have been going great! I’m getting more confident in my voice and remember most of my parts by heart. These next few weeks I will dedicate to remembering all my parts by heart and continue to improve my performance. Choir is giving me the regular practice and motivation to record a song by the end of the year.

Personal Development Goals:

16. I will easily Meditate every day by December 31st 2017:
This month my routine was throw off a little by my retreat, but I still managed to meditate most days with the exception of missing 4 days in February. So far to date I have missed 5 meditation days out of the 59 days to date. Not bad, not great.

17. I will follow my morning routine 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
My morning routine was very sporadic this month—a chain reaction caused by the retreat I went on earlier this month where I didn’t follow any routine and came back feeling free spirited and unwilling to be more ridgid or disciplined. Tomorrow is a fresh week and I will start my routine from scratch gain and bring it back into full momentum in March.

18. I will easily Condense 12 books into Reports by December 31st:
This month I listened to the book, “Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah, and it’s brilliant! Lots of life lessons on the hustle, how to deal with adversity, and even how to raise a child. This is a book about LIFE, and it’s an epic piece of work. Inspiring, motivating and beautifully performed by Trevor Noha himself. One of my new favourite personalities.

Goals

My January 2017 Goals Review

At the end of each month I perform a monthly goal review where I measure the progress of my 2017 goals and recalibrate my performance to ensure I reach my targets for the year. The Objective of this review is to be 100% honest and truthful with myself and learn from my mistakes & wins as I go.

Below is my January 2017 Monthly Goals Review, which goes over each goal that I set and the progress that I’ve made so far. Ultimately, it is my hope that my goal list and process inspire you to set and achieve your own goals.

Business Goals:

1. I will easily 5x my monthly income by December 31st 2017:
In eCommerce, January is historically a slow month in comparison to December, but due to our growth this month we managed to gross more sales this month than we did in December. This month was our first month crossing into 6 figures revenue territory. However, overall profits were down slightly in comparison to December, but this is expected.

2. I will easily launch a successful Subscription Service by December 31st 2017:
Currently, I have 2 subscription model services in the works. 1) A monthly Masterclass for the Bushido Code and 2) A subscription toiletries brand.  This month I designed a webinar to generate leads for The Bushido Academy Masterclass Series and met with a producer to discuss timeline & cost to create a marketing video for our toiletries brand. My goal for February is to add value to The Bushido Academy, improve the conversion rate of the webinar and schedule the production of our toiletries brand marketing video.

3. I will easily host my first Retreat by Dec 31st 2017:
Key members are onboard for a retreat in 2017.  This month my team and I planned a small “inner-circle” retreat for early February, we will use this rereat to model our outer circle retreat later in 2017.

4. I will easily be a Certified High-Performance Coach by December 31st 2017:
Training begins on June 26th. Application & Payment due end of February 2017.

5. I will easily Launch a Course by December 31st 2017:
Reconnected with the team to commit to filming the Bushido Body course in mid-February. I will use the first week of February to refine the Master Bushido Body document so we have clear objectives for this project.

6. I will easily hire a team by December 31st 2017:
This month I hired 10 potential candidates to expand our team, after a few rounds of vetting, 4 remain. My goal is to build a strong team which can streamline our eCommerce business. My next task for this project is to create a workflow which will allow the team to work synergistically.

7. I will easily record 30 videos by December 31st 2017:
I haven’t made any progress on this goal yet. I will get into a regular rhythm of producing content once the Bushido Code Academy webinar is live & optimized this month.

8. I will easily write 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
I only wrote for a total of 9 days this month. Far below my goal of 5 days a week. This is a task which I need to schedule time for. I also believe this is a goal which will bring itself to fruition once the Bushido Code Academy webinar is live & optimized this month.

9. I will easily reach 200,000 followers on Social Media by December 31st:
No progress on this goal yet. The plan is to rewatch my Social Media courses & implement their strategies full force when my webinar is optimized this month.

Health & Fitness Goals:

10. I will easily be in the best shape of my life by December 31st 2017
Overall I satisfied with my progress with this goal. I feel healthy & look fit. My diet has been good with the occasion binge-junk food session.  I will be refining my training routine this month to include more & faster workouts throughout my week. Weight gain has stagnated at about 182 so I have asked my friend and personal trainer Ryan Lindsey aka The Fitness Hippie to outline a meal plan in line with my goals. In February I will implment this new diet plan & workout plan and report back on my progress.

11. I will easily do the Splits by December 31st 2017:
I have been performing less stretching routines during my workout sessions lately. But in February i’ll be changing to a 5-day workout routine which should help with my consistency. I have seen progress in my splits but could use a proper progression program. I will reach out to my friend Slava for this.

12. I will easily hire a Muay Thai Coach by December 31st 2017:
This goal is planned for Q3, no progress yet.

Travel & Lifestyle

13. I will easily cross off 2 different destinations on my LIFE LIST by December 31st 2017

This goal is ideally for Q3-Q4. Currently Hawaii is on the list for a possible family trip. Other potential locations inlcude New York or Montreal and SE Asia.

14. I will easily have lived in a Creative Space / Loft by December 31st 2017:
This goal is set for Q2. All my energy is going to into reaching my income milestones for Q1 and Q2 to make this goal a reality. So far, so good!

15. I will easily record a Song by December 31st 2017:
This month I joined a choir and had my first few practice sessions, the whole experience has been so good! Our lead, Rebecca is amazing and I’m really grateful to be under her instruction. This month I commit to practicing more regularly.

Personal Development Goals:

16. I will easily Meditate every day by December 31st 2017:
This month has been my best month for meditation. I meditated every day except for 1 missed day. Sometimes I would shorten my meditation times from 20min to 15min or 10min., but I meditated every day except for 1.

17. I will follow my morning routine 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
My morning routine this month was and improvement over December, but still bumpy. I had good success waking up at my designated time, though when I would falter, I would falter 2-3 days in a row. But even when I would wake up at the correct time, I would not put 100% effort into my morning routine, often looking for shortcuts or making excuses.

When I perform my routine in its entirety, I notice a big different in my energy, happiness and focus throughout the day. I recommitment to this goal by heading to bed by my set bedtime so I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start my day with enthusiasm and a morning routine designed for success!

18. I will easily Condense 12 books into Reports by December 31st:
No progress has been made on this task yet. But I have thought about the format for the book reviews—ideally I would just record the biggest idea of each section/chapter and provide 3 supporting points for each idea, instead of alternatively dissecting each section and following the information architecture of the author, which in a condensed format may not be the best approach.

19. I will easily attend 1 Personal Development Event by December 31st 2017:
I am very interested in attending the High-Performance Academy in San Diego in March, but I still have time to decide if this is the right event for me.

Selfless Service

20. I will easily donate 1000 articles of clothing to the Homeless
No progress has been made on this goal yet. Goal is to donate during the winter of Q4.

Goals

Goal Plan for 2017

If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!” Benjamin Franklin

Objective:

Too often we start our year with good intentions only to lose steam months, weeks and sometimes only days into the year (I speak from experience).

This year, I am holding myself publicly accountable to my goals both through this blog & with accountability partners in my mastermind groups. The purpose of writing my goals in the format below is to clearly plan and organize my commitments. In addition to my Yearly Goal Plan, I will be writing Monthly Updates, which will serve as a mechanism to course correct as the year progresses. Throughout this process, I will be 100% truthful with myself and learn from both my wins and blunders.

Theme for 2017:

Paint a beautiful picture:
The world has nothing for us, instead, it is a canvas on which we as conscious creators express our infinite creativity. In 2017, I will paint a beautiful picture. Remember, everything that is generated comes from within. So pay close attention to your emotions, catch when you are sour and adjust your attitude with gratitude. Keep your eye on the prize (your goals) and remember, happiness is a state, not a destination.

Business Goals:

1. I will easily 5x my monthly income by December 31st 2017:
2016 was the first year I became a full-time entrepreneur. In 2017, I will take the sum of my income from December 2016 and grow it by 5x by December 2017. I will use the quarterly schedule below to track the progress of this goal. Many of the my goals under “Business” will assist me in accomplishing this overarching goal.

2. I will easily launch a successful Subscription Service by December 31st 2017:
In 2016, I learned a lot about Business, especially eCommerce and in 2017 I will take all that knowledge and apply it into creating a subscription service.

3. I will easily host my first Retreat by Dec 31st 2017:
I’ve experienced first-hand the transformational shift which occurs during retreats and personal growth conferences. I work with an exceptionally talented roster of experts who I’m lucky enough to call friends and have wanted to hold a Bushido Retreat in 2016 but it wasn’t possible. This retreat will be a place for those interested to push their limits, to test the limits of their minds, shed old skins and are willing to ask more from life.

4. I will easily be a Certified High-Performance Coach by December 31st 2017:
In order to take my coaching practice to the next level, I want to be trained by one of the best and I’ve found the right coach and framework for me, so 2017 I will be investing in myself by completing the CHPC Certification.

5. I will easily Launch a Course by December 31st 2017:
In 2017, I will be launching The Bushido Body a collaboration with movement specialist, Slava Goloubov and videographer Nate Slaco.  I’ve also wanted to take the Bushido Code and develop it into a video course too. The Bushido Body is my priority, but a Bushido Code Video Course is inevitable.

6. I will easily hire a team by December 31st 2017:
In 2016, my brother and I hired our first long-term employee. We’re blessed to have him working on our team. In 2017 I want to expand our eCommerce team to be able to service multiple stores and campaigns. This would give me the freedom to work on refining the vision of the company and remove me from day-to-day tasks.

7. I will easily record 30 videos by December 31st 2017:
Video is the medium of the future, articles and images are secondary on the new web and I because I live in the new web and beyond, I need to learn how to talk to the world through a camera.

8. I will easily write 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
In 2015 I was writing daily and put out a large body of work. In 2016, I barely wrote. For me, writing is therapeutic and helps with thinking, reduces anxiety and keeps me focused and inspired. I think the pressure of my old work and standard of writing affected my output in 2016. In 2017, I will be getting back to the joy of writing, and write for myself, just like I did when I first started.

9. I will easily reach 200,000 followers on Social Media by December 31st:
To date, I have just over 60,000 followers on Social Media. The majority of that being on Instagram. In 2017, I will continue to grow the Bushido Code through Facebook & YouTube to surpass 200,000 followers.

Health & Fitness Goals:

10. I will easily be in the best shape of my life by December 31st 2017

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” – Socrates

In 2016 joined a new gym and began tracking my training more strictly. In 2017, I want to surpass any other time which I considered myself to be “at my best” (circa 2010). The bulk and cut phases for this have been put into the quarterly calendar below. My ideal shape is ~190lbs @ < 10% BodyFat.

11. I will easily do the Splits by December 31st 2017:
In 2017 I will do the splits. Any questions? 🙂

12. I will easily hire a Muay Thai Coach by December 31st 2017:
I want to refine my technique and train the ability to hit a moving target with full raw intensity. This is best achieved with a talented pad trainer who can spot holes in my game and improve my use of range.

Travel & Lifestyle

13. I will easily cross off 2 different destinations on my LIFE LIST by December 31st 2017

In my LIFE LIST I have a growing list of places I want to visit and by the end of the year I will have to crossed 2 of those destinations off the list! Possible locations: New York or Montreal & 1 New Country (maybe somewhere in SE Asia).

14. I will easily have lived in a Creative Space / Loft by December 31st 2017:

I want to live in a Creative Space / Loft this summer. Something bright in a handy location where I can bike around to get places and really immerse myself in the beauty of the city. Living close by the water in a city like Vancouver during the Summer is an uplifting experience you must experience for yourself.

15. I will easily record a Song by December 31st 2017:
Something in me wants to sing more. Singing is therapeutic and extremely good for you. Fresh-air rushed through your lungs through the process of singing releases endorphins which reduce stress and elevate the mood. Plus, it’s just damn fun! This year I’m breaking this goal down into A) Joining the Choir and B) Recording a Song.

Personal Development Goals:

16. I will easily Meditate every day by December 31st 2017:
By conquering your mind, you can conquer the world – Guru Nanak
Though I’ve meditated for years, I’ve never dedicated myself to meditation as I will for the next 365 days. The importance of meditation is understated in our modern society, and the more I learn of ancient wisdom, the more I’m convinced that meditation the single most potent discipline to radically change your life.

17. I will follow my morning routine 5 days a week by December 31st 2017:
My AM/PM Golden Rituals set the base for my day, and ultimately my life. Within my Golden Rituals I take time to stretch, meditate, fuel my body and reconnect with my life vision amongst other things. When I fall short of my morning routine, I notice the effects throughout my day, so this year I have set the intention to perform my Moring Ritual a minimum of 5 days a week.

18. I will easily Condense 12 books into Reports by December 31st:
They say you haven’t understood something unless you can teach it to a child. In these 12 book reports I will learn and condense knowledge from 12 of the highest rated books on high-performance, mindset and personal development and condense them into easy to digest, bite-size summaries which can be skimmed over to enhance my life and yours.

19. I will easily attend 1 Personal Development Event by December 31st 2017:
A good seminar or event can radically shift the way you see the world—it can impregnate you with an idea or introduce you to someone amazing who you wouldn’t have met otherwise.

Selfless Service

20. I will easily donate 1000 articles of clothing to the Homeless
One of my youngest memories is of my parents asking me to give a bag of chips and a drink to a homeless person in need. I’ve been raised by my parents and my religion to give back selflessly, though I haven’t been doing this to the extent I should or could. In honoring this value, I will donate 1000 articles of clothing to the homeless in 2017.

Golden Rituals—A Step by Step Guide to Mastering your AM/PM Routines.

The following is a sample chapter taken from my book The Bushido Code: Life Mastery Manual

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit – Aristotle

We are all creatures born with infinite potential. Though many of us have had our power reduced—or worse—stripped from us through the repetition of poor behaviors. In this blog post/sample chapter, I will show you how to replace your old behaviors with the routines and rituals of high achievers.

But first—think back to how you began your day today.

  • Did you wake up with a plan or an agenda for the day ahead?
  • Did you stretch your tight, contracted body after your slumber?
  • Did you meditate to settle & focus your mind?
  • Did you savor the privilege of eating a healthy and nutritious meal this morning?

Many people who I’ve asked these questions didn’t even manage a good breakfast. Those who did had to rush through it so as not to be late for work or school. They tell me they didn’t have time, but the truth is—they never made the time.

Much like an elite athlete must warm up before a game, elite performers must warm up before their day. Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Tony Robbins and Ellen Degeneres are just some of the names who utilize powerful morning rituals to maximize their energy & focus before they start their days.

In this blog post/sample chapter you’ll learn a powerful & proven routine of rituals which you can adapt to maximize your own energy and focus like that of an elite achiever.

As the great philosopher Socrates said, the secret of change is to focus all your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. So my friend, I urge you to take action of the advice you’re about to read. The adaptation of this routine will without a doubt, improve the quality of your life.

Your days are your life in miniature. As you live your days, so you craft your life. – Robin Sharma

Building Blocks for a Great Life

  • The key to living a great life is filling your life with great days
  • The key to great days is having a well-organized plan/routine
  • The key to a well-organized plan/routine is waking up early
  • The key to waking up early is going to bed early
  • The key to going to bed early is an effective & consistent nightly ritual

Whereas most programs begin with what to do in the morning, the Bushido Code encourages you to focus all your energy on developing your nightly ritual first. A well designed (and strictly enforced) nightly ritual, will naturally bring ease & pleasure to your morning ritual.

The PM Ritual

Stop eating after 8pm

In preparation for sleep, we stop eating at least 2 hours before bed. We do this because our body’s digestive system requires large amounts of energy to operate. When we eat before bed, the digestive system delays the nightly repair your body performs as you sleep. This results in poor sleep. A poor sleep effects every element of your day, including a lack of focus and poor cognative function & reduced energy the next day.

Digital Sunset 8:30pm

We’ve covered this in earlier sections of the Bushido Code, but it’s so important that I need to repeat it. When it comes to our time of rest and contemplation, our technology is often a black hole that robs us of attention and valuable energy. For this reason, we enforce a strict digital sunset in the evening—turning off all screens & technology, eliminating distraction so we are fully present in our nightly ritual.

The final hours of your evening should be dedicated to transitioning from an awake state to sleep-state. You don’t race your car into the garage and then do a sharp and abrupt stop, do you? Then why do so many of us do this when we sleep? For best results, we must ease into a resting state. We do this by creating the right environment and setting the intention for a deep and restful sleep. Below we continue the process I use for an optimal night’s rest.

Golden Milk

Golden milk is the fabled, “Milk and Honey”, enhanced with spices from the ancient Indian study of Ayurvedic medicine. Comforting, relaxing and soothing, this warm bedtime drink will aid in your transition to a deep, restful sleep. Coupled with an impressive list of health benefits, including anti-inflammatory agents, liver detoxifying properties, antioxidants, and memory support, amongst others; Golden Milk is an ideal bedtime beverage that you’ll want to incorporate into your nightly routine.

To prepare your Golden Milk, bring the following ingredients to a boil:

Review, Reflect and Recalibrate

Journaling is by far one of the most underutilized practices which can supercharge personal growth & development. The journaling process forces us to analyze our days, record significant lessons and ask ourselves important questions. It’s difficult to make leaps and bounds in your life without knowing what is working and what could be improved upon. For that reason, I’ve included “Plan & Conquer: The Bushido Journal” as a FREE bonus with the Bushido Code which will help you create a focused plan for your days, weeks and months so you are constantly achieving new goals and uncovering the best version of yourself. Use the next 10-15min to write in your journal each night as you relax and drink your Golden Milk.

Use the included Plan & Conquer Journal to ask yourself the follow questions in the spaces provided:

What went well today?

A space for your wins of the day, big and small. For Example:

  • Finished editing the “Digital Distraction” blog post
  • Hired new personal trainer
  • Designed eBook Cover
  • New Lemongrass chicken recipe turned out great!

What did you learn today?

A space to write down what could be improved upon. For Example:

  • I work best when I separate my creative work in the morning, and my analytical work in the evening.
  • Getting a double shot of espresso “to-go” and drinking it quickly, as opposed to sitting down and drinking it over a longer period of time makes my mind jittery and reduces my focus.
  • Plan my driving routes better and avoid the rush hour—was in the car far too long today. If long drive are unavoidable, listen to podcasts to make the most out of my time.

3 to Thrive

A concept I learned from Tony Robbins. The idea is to write down your top 3 objectives for the next day, so you are in an optimal state to  thrive. Do not overwhelm yourself. These are actionable tasks that you are committing to completing within the next 24 hours. For Example:

  • Submit finished e-Book transcript to editor
  • Find and hire a talented illustrator for Instagram project
  • Setup a landing page for the eBook with email opt-in

Read, Write, Listen & Relax

This next block of time is dedicated to personal enjoyment. Here you may continue writing in your journal for pleasure; write about the things that inspired you, an idea you want to execute in the future, or write for the sake of creative expression—poetry, lyrics, or letters to loved ones. Alternatively, I encourage you to use this time to read an interesting book, or listen to an audiobook or relaxation audios. I especially enjoy relaxation audios after a day of strenuous physical exercise.

The Neti Pot

The Neti Pot is simply a small pot designed to rinse your sinuses with a warm salt water solution. This exercise is a foundational practice of any Yogi. This is because the Yogi understands the importance of breath. Many of us have lost touch, forgetting that our breath is our connection to life. It is amazing how often the quality of our breath is neglected in the understanding and improvement of our overall health. For this reason, I suggest using the Neti Pot on a nightly basis, to improve your breath & overall well-being.

Some may find this exercise uncomfortable at first. This is normal, and the feeling will subside with frequent use. But once you try the Neti Pot and see the improvement in the quality of your breath, I assure you, you will want to practice this exercise nightly.

I recommend the SinuClenase Neti Pot which is affordable at $10, and also comes with salt packs and simple instructions for use. [Get the SinuCleanse Neti Pot]

Bedtime 10PM

When it’s time to retire for the day, it is important to do so in a room which is pitch black, quiet and cool. Use earplugs and a night mask, if necessary. An ideal bedroom should only have a bed in it. No blinking lights coming from computers or TVs. No tablets or phones. In fact, I recommend that you get an old analog alarm clock, so you’ll never need to bring your phone into your bedroom again.

Before closing your eyes for the night, affirm to yourself that you are about to enjoy a deep, restorative sleep. I often say the following out loud: My mind and body are ready for a deep, restful sleep. I give myself permission to melt into my bed as exhale, letting go of all thoughts and worries. I fall asleep with ease and wake feeling renewed and refreshed. Tomorrow will be a great day full of growth, potential and promise.

And with this, our nightly (PM) ritual comes to an end. Sweet dreams.

A well-spent day brings happy sleep – Leonardo Da Vinci

Next, we dissect a potent and powerful morning (AM) ritual. As the world-renowned artist, scientest and inventor Leonardo Da Vinci explains, when we spend our day well, a deep restful sleep comes easy.

In the following section, I share a morning ritual which will ensure your day is full of productivity, focus, and growth, so you are able to enjoy not only a deep, restful sleep but more importantly—a satisfying and fulfilling life.

THE AM RITUAL

In my own experience, and from the teachings of the many great of the greatest minds before me, it is important to begin your days early. The early hours between 5am-8am are often known as the “Golden Hours” for writers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and visionaries alike. Many of the greatest minds praise these early hours for their ability to harness creative energy and laser-like focus. In order to take full benefit of these hours, we rise at 5am. I’ve seen this single change be the tipping point for many clients, who after incorporating this habit have seen a massive increase in their personal and business success.

Though waking up at 5am sounds (and can be) difficult, if we put the time and effort into creating and enforcing our PM ritual, we will experience a much easier transition to becoming an early riser. For this reason, it is essential we practice our PM rituals with diligence and consistency.

Rise at 5 am

Before you sleep, decide that you will wake up at 5 am and jump out of bed without hesitation when your alarm rings. For those new to waking up this early, understand the first 20 seconds will be the most difficult. You might feel like crawling back to bed, or negotiating with yourself for 5 more minutes, but don’t surrender to those thoughts—know that after the first 20 seconds, the discomfort will dissipate.

Think back to any military movie and the environment in a military barracks. When it’s time to wake up, the soldiers snap to full wakefulness. They don’t lie in bed half-asleep, almost catatonic, wishing they had another minute or two to doze off. No—the alarm rings, the lights come on and they spring up immediately, with zero delay. Confront your mornings with the same mentality. Do not resist life by hitting the snooze button. Your rest is over, the day has begun.

Splash of Cold Water

Once you leave your bed, walk straight into the bathroom. Here, a few splashes of cold water on your face will help remove the morning fog.

500ml Water & Vitamins

Staying well hydrated can be something that is easy to neglect. But a well-hydrated body brings energy, and a well-hydrated brain brings clarity. Use this opportunity to make a habit of drinking 500ml of water every morning, along with any vitamins or supplements you take.

Tip: Squeeze half a lemon into your water to give it alkalinizing properties, and a great refreshing taste.

Ask Yourself—What am I Grateful for Today?

It is amazing, all the goodness we take for granted. The act of gratitude forces us to be aware of all the gifts and opportunities we’re blessed with. This fundamental shift in perspective creates happier, more positive people. As a general rule, these people live healthier and more abundant lives.

Tip: I use a whiteboard marker on my bathroom mirror to write 1 thing I’m grateful for every morning. I read over these statements as I get ready for my day. It’s an incredible boost to be reminded for all I have in my life. Try it!

Cold Shower

As mentioned earlier in the Bushido Code Manual, a cold shower can  give you a surge of energy, heighten your alertness, and elevate your mood, especially in the wee hours of the morning. For more detail on cold showers, please refer to section 2 of the Bushido Code, entitled: Instant Courage.

20/20/20 Routine

This segment of your morning routine is designed to prime your mind & body for the day ahead. Again, much like an elite athlete warms up before a game, we as elite performers, must put the effort to warm up our mind and body before our actual day begins. The 20/20/20 routine consists of the following components:

20 Minutes of Mindfulness—Set the Mind

  • We begin by reviewing our goals. Take a look at your goal pyramid (found in section 7 entitled: Goals & Ambition) to remind you of your greatest purpose and why you woke up today. Envision yourself accomplishing your goal and embrace the feelings and emotions associated with that victory. Next, find a quiet place to spend 12 to 15 minutes with yourself in meditation. For a review of meditation see section 5, The Art of Meditation.

20 Minutes of Movement—Prime the Body

  • Movement is the most fundamental of human behaviors. In our modern world, we’ve dubbed this practice as exercise, and often it’s seen as something to do when we have the time to spare. This is false thinking. Exercise should never be optional. Our body craves movement, and it is when we move and use our body that our mood and spirit are uplifted, and our mind is lubricated.I suggest finding a movement routine which works best for you. I offer the following ideas, with a strong emphasis on yoga to loosen the body, especially the neck, shoulders and hips after a night’s rest.
  • Stretching / Yoga (highly recommended)
  • Skipping rope
  • Jogging
  • Shadow boxing

NOTE: Correct breathing while performing your morning exercise is extremely important to invigorate the body. Hence the emphasis on yoga, which is a practice built around breathwork.

20 Minutes of Inspiration—Invigorate the Spirit

  • The next 20 minutes are reserved for recharging your creative energy. We do this through the power of inspiration. It only takes a single idea found in a book to completely change the way you perceive your life and the world around you. It is your duty to find the source of that idea. Consider the following:
  1. Reading – Books
  2. Listening – Audiobooks / Podcasts / Lectures
  3. Watching – TED Talks

Bushido Bowl Breakfast

In our busy, modern lives, nutrition is often an afterthought— yet the evidence is overwhelmingly conclusive: The foods we eat fuel not only our bodies but also impact the quality of our thoughts. More evidence suggests that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. For this reason, it’s essential that we eat a nutritionally balanced breakfast to start our day.

Try this recipe which I’ve dubbed the Bushido Bowl. This breakfast is easy to prepare and nutritiously dense, providing a great energy boost with enhanced cognitive performance. I challenge you to find a healthier, easier and tastier breakfast recipe.

To assemble, simply mix the following ingredients into a large jar and store it in your refrigerator.

[recipe only available in the full version of the Bushido Code: Life Mastery System – Get your copy here]

When it’s time to eat, spoon 2 to 6 heaping tablespoons into a small bowl of hot or warm milk (or milk substitute, I use almond milk) and top with sliced banana, blueberries or strawberries to taste. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow for the mixture to expand before eating.

Conquer The Day

After your power breakfast, you are now in an optimal state to tackle the day ahead. Having followed the routines above, your body will be well rested, your mind will be charged and your spirit invigorated. With a clear mind and renewed energy, now is the time to begin your biggest task of the day (as decided the night before—see your Bushido Journal for this).  Now is the time to do the work that is required to get the results you want.

Dear friend, I hope you enjoyed this Sample chapter of the Bushido Code: Life Mastery System.
